We are cities
We are cities
What makes a city great? When the people first arrive, not once its known but before that..
It has to have something that is needed by the world to be well known.
It is either oil or gold or some substance in abundance.
We are cities, we need to contain something useful and necessary for those around us to keep coming back.
The thing is that we already do.
But just like a city...
The way of disciplined grace
“It is grace because it is free; it is disciplined because there is something for us to do.”
Galatians 6:8 says, “he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption; but he who sows from the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”
A farmer is helpless to grow grain; -he cannot hold it and make it grow- all he can do is to provide the right...
Growing
Gardenia’s are beautiful, and they smell so so amazing. And the real beauty of them is that they only grow certain times of the year. So the rest of the year they are just this bush waiting to bloom refreshing, white flowers. As Christians we have “blooming periods” too, except when we “bloom” we do not glorify ourselves but something within us that waits patiently...

So lately,
it seems that the Lord has really been showing me the difference in saved people and secular people, or people who live off of the world. and He’s been showing me some other cool stuff too..
it’s pretty heart breaking, but great to feel God’s heart. as i drive by random houses and apartments instead of thinking of the actual apartment i find myself thinking of the people inside...

Proverbs 12:12
Proverbs 12:12
Thieves are jealous of each other’s loot, but the godly are well rooted and bear their own fruit.
- people without the Lord are envious of people that are more popular than them. When one gets to know the Lord, their relationship with the Lord is enough for them, however, as a result of that ONE relationship “fruit” is bared and people see the Lord through them. That one...
Late reading :) GOD IS AMAZING
The Lord is so good to us. I was thinking earlier because LeeAnn was talking about how she loves to read the books of the Bibles about kings .. And the Lord is so stinking humble!! What king TODAY (other than the Lord) wants to get to know our hearts and spend time with us? None of them want to hear us talk about what we need help strengthening or our weak family and friends. They don’t ask...

Romans 11&12
11:6 But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace.
16And if the first piece of dough be holy, the lump is also; and if the root be holy, the branches are too. 17But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree, 18do not be...
pondering things..
So, I was watching Walk The Line earlier (that movie cheese’d me off!) and “Johnny Cash” was a complete mess for 99.9% of that movie. I am completely against abusing prescription medicines or any other drugs.. I think that they are all dependents and take you away from the Lord. So, I was thinking of how these things make you unable to take care of yourself and they pull you away...
1 Peter 1
”..to those who reside as aliens, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, who are chosen…”
- Aliens? ..meaning “not of this world”.. Is it referring to Christians? I think so.
“…you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood; May grace and peace be yours in fullest measure.”
“…according to His...
My little brother
So, Dec. 20th was the night of the solstice lunar eclipse and it was such a beautiful evening followed by an amazing day. The moon started off extremely bright and full, only to be slowly covered by the sun and made red instead of white. I love looking at the sky at any time of the day because it reminds me of how much the Lord loves us and how great He really is. He placed everything that we see...
